The Lakes Care Home t/a Vicarage Care Ltd, is a residential dementia care facility located in Askam-In-Furness, Cumbria. Originally offering 30 bedrooms, the home has recently expanded with an 11-bedroom extension, increasing its capacity to 41 beds.
To accommodate a growing demand for quality dementia care, the care home embarked on an expansion project to create additional living spaces and improved facilities. The extension includes a bespoke kitchen for residents, enhanced day spaces, and a new passenger lift to improve access to first-floor bedrooms. Their primary objective was to provide a comfortable and accessible environment for their residents.

The result
Although a development loan was secured through the company’s primary bank, it did not fully cover the cost of fitting out the new extension.
